Fun, but a bit too much banter for a short show

My wife and I enjoyed the show despite our seats at the rear of the Saenger theatre in New Orleans. The musicians and singers were all excellent performers and entertainers. The sound quality and level was just right for the mostly "vintage" audience. My only negative comments are 1) that both acts, but especially the Four Tops, included a lot of banter with the audience that reduced the time available for songs. And 2), some of the songs were longer than necessary when trying to cover long careers. Including more medleys instead of individual songs would have let us hear more of the hits (and less of the banter!). But overall this was a very fun show.

Did Not Disappoint!

These two iconic groups put on a wonderful show - they played all of their classic hits with a large, very impressive band accompanying them. They had the flashy suits and the funky dance moves. Even the elder original bandmate in each of the groups got out there and really performed. When you consider their ages, it was even more impressive! They have energy and stamina way more than I do, and I'm a good 30 years younger. The lighting was lively and really added to the show. The asides where they talk to the crowd, as well as their goofing off with each other on stage, really drew you into what felt like an intimate performance despite the venue's size. These people love each other and love what they do, and it really left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling as I left the theater. If you're on the fence about buying tickets to see them, please let me SHOVE you off that fence onto the side of getting your tickets now! They promise to come back next year, and I'll be first in line!

The most disappointing concert ever been to

I said, in the past that the Broward center acoustics are not very good, but Friday night I realized how true that is. I was so excited to go to this concert, it’s so disappointing. We had reasonable seats, just to the left of center first row in the orchestra. The acoustics are horrible, I know the words to all the songs, could not understand anything That the singers were singing. The way they had the audio board set up was horrible, you could not hear the singers, and it was so disappointing. It was great to see the two bands, and the few founding members that were left, but I have to say it was one of the worst concerts I’ve ever been to, and I’m incredibly disappointed. I don’t think I would see either group again no matter where they played. Such a shame.

Not what we expected

Both groups did not perform with enough of their top hits which everyone could remember and relate to. They included newer songs that were not of the same quality or style as the 1970's Both groups gave it their all but it was too long -suggest 2 hour show next time. We had a very stressful time getting to the venue with the traffic on I-95 then when we got there the parking was backed up and people were getting agressive in line to enter the parking lot. If you can get dropped off at the theatre that would be ideal. We came from Delray Beach so that was not an option. We went to a Motown Tribute some years back and gave that a 5 star.
